Shane's Rib Shack Opens in Athens, Georgia !
Shane’s Rib Shack, a leader in fast casual barbecue, will open it’s 73rd location in Athens, Georgia today, June 15, 2015. This location will create 40 new jobs for the area. Derek Ward, owner of Shane’s Rib Shack in Bethlehem, opened up his second location in his hometown Athens, Georgia. “I started in Bethlehem and now I’m able to bring the Shane’s brand to my hometown friends and family so they can experience the fun, family oriented atmosphere,” stated Ward. Ward was the winner of this year’s Franchisee of the Year Award partly due to his passion to stick true to the values cofounders, Shane and Stacey Thompson, instilled.
